Stacey is a Licensed Professional Counselor, certified teacher, and certified school counselor who holds a Master's Degree in both Professional and School Counseling. Stacey's professional background includes over 16 years of extensive experience working with at-risk individuals including program development, implementation, and education. Stacey was an alternative education teacher to teens at a juvenile girls' home and provided individual and group counseling at a rehabilitation facility for teens. She worked for more than 8 years as a certified school counselor, providing preventative, crisis, and guidance counseling. Stacey has also worked with children in foster care and families navigating the adoption process.
Stacey has experience treating children as young as 3 years old, adolescents, teens, families, couples, and adults. Her specialties include trauma, PTSD, anxiety, depression, life transitions, stress, codependency, grief, self-esteem, sexual/emotional abuse, and relationship abuse. Stacey is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), which is utilized to treat anxiety-based disorders including PTSD, emotional/sexual trauma, and negative beliefs about oneself. In her work with children, Stacey utilizes Emotional Transformation Therapy and Therapeutic Play to help children express their inner thoughts and emotions. She helps children learn to cope with divorce, life changes, parenting or relationship issues, and can address unwanted behaviors, school issues, ADHD, and impulsivity.
In her free time, Stacey enjoys spending time with her family and close friends, traveling, and volunteering.
